Before the Break

For a thousand years, the Earth-Mother had been silent. Her fury lived on in old stories, cities swallowed whole, mountains forced up from plains, islands dragged screaming into the sea. Priests called it history.

Queen’s Guard Sina called it myth.

Until the ground split open beneath her feet.

In the middle of a decisive battle, the goddess returns and ends the war by tearing the continent in two. Armies vanish. Borders collapse. The land is severed in a single, violent breath.

Sina survives the fall into the chasm with the soldier who saved her life. When she claws her way back to the surface, the war is over, and her brother is stranded on the enemy side of a divide no army can cross.

If she wants him back, she has only one option left, the long way around the world. Through ice, monsters and magic that is waking for the first time in centuries.

The continent is divided.

So is her family.

Sina will not accept either.

Book One of an epic fantasy saga.
